It was structured around four areas: nutrition, reproduction, diseases and management. Topics covered in the diseases area included African swine fever, the porcine respiratory disease complex and the evolution of PCV2 in vaccinated systems. The event was opened by Pedro Rojas G., Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, and Dr. Ruiz, Director of the Conference.

The organization plans to maintain the event’s technical focus, as long as it continues to contribute to the development of pig production. The sixth edition is scheduled for October–November 2028.
