Vehicle entry hygiene: identify surfaces that are easy to miss
Tyres, undersides and shielded surfaces need to be identified for each vehicle type.
Tyres, undersides and shielded surfaces need to be identified for each vehicle type. Entrance spraying does not replace removal of visible dirt, and movement or stopping arrangements belong in the procedure.
Use a lane checklist
Check the wash location, nozzle coverage, liquid supply and wastewater collection, and define when passage should stop because of a fault. Record the vehicle, time and inspection, and follow the actual chemical requirements for contact and subsequent conditions.
Connect the equipment and the record
Put the relevant points into a site checklist, assign responsibility and update the routine using trial observations, daily inspections and feedback. Confirm the equipment configuration and operating requirements against the actual instructions and the agreed site plan.
