Soybean prices fell in Brazil, pressured by the real’s appreciation against the dollar. According to Cepea, this movement tends to reduce the competitiveness of Brazilian soybeans compared with U.S. soybeans.

Cepea researchers note that the declines were limited, however, by the high volume of soybeans and soybean products exported from January to September. According to the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex), the country shipped 7,36 million tonnes of soybeans in September. Although this volume was 25% lower than in August, a common decline for this period, it was a record for the month of September.

Soybean meal exports also set a record for the month, increasing by 10% compared with August and by 18,5% compared with September 2025, according to Secex data.
