On the 10th of 9, a delegation from the Huitong County Pig Industry Chain Task Force visited Hunan New Wellful Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “New Wufeng”) for discussions on deepening cooperation in pig breeding. Liang Zhongxiang, Party Leadership Group Secretary and candidate for Chairperson of the Huitong County Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and Tang Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman and General Manager of New Wufeng, attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed progress in breeding cooperation, focusing on Huitong County’s goals of building a national strategic base for pig breeding stock and becoming a major pig-exporting county.
Tang Wei said that New Wufeng is continuing to deepen its breeding-stock presence in Huitong County. Going forward, the company will leverage its strengths in breeding breeding pigs and technological innovation, introduce high-quality breeding stock and advanced breeding technologies, help Huitong County strengthen its pig breeding-stock foundation, promote high-quality development of the local pig industry, and achieve mutually beneficial cooperation between the company and the county.
Liang Zhongxiang commended the progress made in earlier cooperation. He noted that independent control of pig breeding stock is a core pillar for ensuring the security and stability of the pig industry’s supply chain. Huitong County will make every effort to provide support in terms of resources and services, creating a favorable environment for cooperation across the entire pig industry chain. He expressed the hope that both sides would further clarify their responsibilities, refine implementation measures, and actively help improve the quality and efficiency of the county’s pig industry.
The two sides held in-depth discussions on the direction of future cooperation and reached a consensus. They agreed to strengthen coordination, work together on key areas including pig breeding research and development, construction of supporting facilities at the base, and realization of the industry’s demonstration effect, and jointly explore new models of cooperation between the company and the county, helping Huitong County build a new high ground for the development of its pig breeding-stock sector.
Relevant department heads from Huitong County and New Wufeng attended the meeting.
