(7 month 8–10 | Nanchang, Jiangxi) The seventeenth China Dairy Conference, the Dairy Industry 20 Strong (D20) Forum, and the 2026 China Dairy Exhibition were successfully held in Nanchang, Jiangxi. Lely made an appearance at the conference with its thoughtfully designed “rest space” and took part in special forums organized by the Dairy Economics Committee and the Specialty Dairy Committee. During the exhibition, three Lely experts delivered keynote presentations, sharing the latest practical achievements in smart farms and precision management. At the same time, Lely and the Nestlé Dairy Farming Institute (DFI) formally reached a cooperation agreement to jointly advance industry talent development and advanced farm management practices, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of China’s dairy industry.
An innovative debut: DeLaval’s “Relaxation Area” makes a splash
Lely made full use of the on-site space to create an innovative “Lely Lounge,” offering complimentary refreshments such as coffee. It was designed to provide customers, partners, dealers, and industry peers with an open, convenient, and comfortable social space. During the exhibition, the Lely Lounge became a popular place for customer discussions, industry exchanges, and visitors to relax and check in, attracting a steady stream of visitors and earning widespread praise from customers, partners, and other companies in the industry. Many visitors said that this more open, relaxed exhibition format, with a focus on the visitor experience and interaction, offered fresh ideas and inspiration for industry exhibitions.

Growing popularity, jointly promoting healthy consumption
Lely specially organized a “Happy Hour” themed event in the rest area, bringing the “Lely Kitchen” to the venue. The Lely Kitchen used dairy ingredients to make specialty foods such as yogurt and dairy desserts on site, and invited visitors to taste them together. Through a more direct and engaging interactive experience, the event communicated the nutritional value of milk and dairy products to the public, advocated a scientific and healthy approach to eating, and encouraged more consumers to incorporate dairy products into their daily lives. The relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere attracted many industry professionals and visitors, further bringing the brand closer to its audience and allowing more people to appreciate the professional value and social significance behind China’s dairy industry.

Focusing on precise management and discussing the future of efficient dairy operations
During the exhibition, Lely took an active part in the special forum “From Cost Control to Intelligent Precision Management—New Pathways to Efficient Dairy Operations in 2026,” hosted by the Dairy Economics Committee of the Dairy Association of China. The forum focused on industry topics including the digital transformation of the dairy industry, refined management, and improved operational efficiency, bringing together experts and scholars, industry organizations, and company representatives to discuss new pathways for the development of China’s dairy industry.
At the forum, Dr. Jiao Haopeng, Director of Market Development and Sales Support at DeLaval China, delivered a keynote report titled “Intelligent Dairy Farming, Creating the Future—From Individual Smart Solutions to System-Wide Intelligence,” sharing DeLaval’s practical experience and insights in smart equipment, data management, and system integration.
Fu Haihan, manager of the Lely China Smart Farm Solutions team, presented on “Data-Driven Robotic Farms: From Automated Milking to Precision Herd Management.” He introduced trends in robotic milking technology and digital farm management, as well as how data-driven approaches can help farms achieve more efficient and precise operations management.
Joining hands with Nestlé DFI to open a new chapter in our partnership
During the forum, witnessed by Professor Li Shengli, Director of the Professional Committee on Dairy Industry Economics, Lely China and the Nestlé Dairy Farming Institute (DFI) formally signed a cooperation agreement for the “Precision Improvement Project for Dairy Farms.” This cooperation marks the formal establishment of a long-term partnership between the two parties and is also the first in-depth collaboration between Lely and Nestlé DFI. Guests attending the signing ceremony (from left to right in the photo): Liu Weiran, General Manager of Sales, Greater China, Lely; Jiao Haopeng, Director of Marketing Development and Sales Support, Lely China; Liu Yunpeng, General Manager of the Nestlé Dairy Farming Institute; Professor Li Shengli, China Agricultural University; and Zhang Jianquan, Head of Agriculture, Greater China, Nestlé.

They will provide China’s dairy industry with more development models of practical value and work together to advance the industry as a whole and promote sustainable development.
Deepening our expertise in specialty dairy and sharing professional experience
In addition to the dairy cow farming sector, Lely is also actively involved in exchanges related to specialty milk. At a forum organized by the Specialty Milk Professional Committee, Peng Guoqing, manager of the Traditional Milking Systems team, delivered a presentation titled “The Significance and Practical Pathways of Precision Identification Technology for Healthy Livestock Production.” Drawing on examples from dairy sheep farming, he systematically shared the important value of precision identification technology in areas such as health management, improved production efficiency, and herd improvement.
