The wholesale price index for “vegetable basket” products was 114.05, down 0.17 points from last Saturday. As of 14:00 today, the average pork price at national agricultural product wholesale markets was 15.98 yuan/kg, down 0.7% from last Saturday; beef was 72.08 yuan/kg, down 1.7%; mutton was 66.44 yuan/kg, down 1.7%; eggs were 9.81 yuan/kg, down 1.7%; and dressed chicken was 17.11 yuan/kg, down 0.4%. The average price of the 28 monitored vegetable varieties was 4.29 yuan/kg, down 2.1% from last Saturday. The average price of the 6 monitored fruit varieties was 6.63 yuan/kg, down 1.3%. Crucian carp was 19.31 yuan/kg, down 0.7%; carp was 13.91 yuan/kg, up 0.1%; silver carp was 10.21 yuan/kg, up 1.0%; and largehead hairtail was 41.30 yuan/kg, down 2.3%.
Today, among the 46 varieties monitored at domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale markets, the five largest price increases compared with last Saturday were for watermelon, yardlong beans, cabbage, silver carp, and large yellow croaker, at 3.0%, 1.2%, 1.0%, 1.0%, and 1.0%, respectively. The five largest price decreases were for green peppers, lettuce, winter melon, spinach, and pineapple, at 5.4%, 4.6%, 4.3%, 4.0%, and 3.8%, respectively.
