As it does every year, 3tres3 attended SPACE, the International Livestock Show in Rennes, which marked a particularly significant milestone this year: its 40th edition. Over three days, from September 15 to 17, professionals and companies once again gathered at one of the leading international events dedicated to animal production.

According to data provided by the organization, the 40th edition of SPACE welcomed 100,107 visitors and brought together 1,019 exhibitors, a third of whom were international.

For 3tres3, SPACE once again provided an excellent opportunity to gauge the state of the industry, see firsthand the latest innovations presented by companies, and, above all, reconnect with customers, partners, and professionals in the swine industry. Three days of conversations and exchanges allowed us to share concerns and learn about some of the trends and solutions that are shaping the future of animal production.

Innovation with applications for the swine industry

Innovation once again took center stage. Of the 78 entries submitted, the Innov’Space jury selected 32 innovations: 26 received one star and six received two stars. Subsequently, three of the innovations were honored with a special three-star mention.

Among the award-winning solutions of interest to the swine industry, developments related to precision feeding, animal monitoring and weighing, artificial intelligence, health, and biosecurity stood out, reflecting the growing role of technology in farm management and in improving production efficiency.

Water: At the center of the debate

Another key focus of this year’s event was sustainable water management in livestock farming, the central theme of the Espace pour Demain. Through testimonials from livestock farmers, meetings with experts, and discussions, participants addressed issues related to the availability and efficient use of this resource, as well as various solutions that can be implemented on farms.

The SPACE 2026 program also included about 100 presentations and an extensive program of contests and demonstrations.

3tres3, connected with the industry

Beyond the numbers and the latest developments, our visit to SPACE allowed us to do what is an essential part of our work: stay connected with the industry and its professionals.

3tres3 would like to thank everyone who shared time with us over these three days. The conversations, meetings, and reunions make SPACE a special event on our calendar.

See you again in Rennes in 2027, from September 14 to 16, for the 41st edition of SPACE.
