Revenue grew by 1,3% in 2025, and normalized operating profit was positive. The group also secured new three-year financing to support its transformation.
Vion Food Group published its financial results for 2025, highlighting progress in its restructuring and a greater focus on its operations in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Revenue rose to 4,17 billion euros, compared with 4,12 billion in 2024. Normalized EBITDA increased by 12%, reaching 58,1 million euros, while normalized EBIT returned to positive territory at 1,2 million, compared with a loss of 5,7 million in 2024. However, the group ended the year with a net loss of 61,2 million euros, also affected by exceptional items related to deferred taxes and restructuring.
Results were affected by difficult market conditions in the second half of the year: Chinese tariffs on imports of European pork, increased supply in the European market, and the commercial consequences of African swine fever in Spain put further pressure on pig prices. In the cattle segment, high livestock prices continued to squeeze margins.
Strategically, in 2026 Vion secured a new three-year financing agreement, which is expected to provide greater financial stability and support investment in higher-value supply chains, with particular attention to sustainability and animal welfare.
The divestment of the German operations, initiated in 2023, is also continuing. The sales of the Buchloe and Crailsheim sites have been completed; the divestment of the Food Service business is expected by the end of 2026, while the divestment of Waldkraiburg is awaiting approvals. The Hilden site has been closed.
At the end of the transformation, Vion aims to operate as an international group headquartered in the Netherlands, focusing its activities on the value chains in the Netherlands and Belgium and on structurally improving profitability.
