The slaughter of laying hens remains limited this week due to a significant shortage of available volumes. However, the numerous cases of salmonella continue to fill slaughterhouse schedules and help make up for some shortfalls in slaughter volumes.
Exports to Africa have resumed, with several containers shipped this week and others already scheduled for next week.
In this context, marked both by an increase in salmonella cases, which is weighing on prices, and by sustained demand from slaughterhouses for spent hens, the price quotation is maintained at last week’s level.
