“Absolute records!”, the organizers of the Sommet de l’élevage as early as the evening of 9 October, announcing 139 000 visitors (compared with 120 00 in 2024) recorded over 4 days. Among them: more than 6500 international visitors from 100 countries were welcomed. Facing the visitors, some 1814 exhibitors were present.

“ After a traumatic 2025 year with cattle absent and pressure from DNC causing disruption nationwide, the return of all the animals to our halls is more than welcome. Despite the complex climate and economic situation, people came in large numbers, creating an exceptional atmosphere,” says Jacques Chazalet, president of the exhibition.

Furthermore, 25 000 people came to discover the grassland farming systems and pastoralism of the Massif Central during the new Pâture event held in downtown Clermont-Ferrand.

“ Given the number of visitors, the atmosphere in the aisles, the business discussions, not to mention the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Annie Genevard, and the visits by numerous candidates in the upcoming presidential election, our event has established itself as an unmissable agricultural gathering and, more specifically, a driving force for sustainable livestock farming,” Jacques Chazalet also says with satisfaction.

The organizers of the Sommet de l’élevage note that the 36th edition of the show will be held from 5 to 8 October 2027 and will host the national Aubrac competitions for beef cattle and the Prim’Holstein for dairy cattle.
