Seventy-seven females of the Jersey breed paraded in the dairy ring on October 8, 2026, in Cournon, under the watchful eye of judge Rémy Colpaert from Pas-de-Calais. A large crowd came to cheer on the breeders who had travelled from all over France to take part in this interregional Jersey competition.
Among the many high-quality cows, Tétropbell, owned by Gaec du Gard in Manche and now in her third lactation, was named grand champion of this year’s event. She had already been named grand champion at the last Space. “She is the most complete cow here today: very compact and very well put together,” the judge said. “She stands out for the strength of her topline and her exceptional udder, with excellent fore and rear attachments.” She also won the title of junior champion and best junior udder.

The judge also praised Lalie de l’Odyssée, in her eighth lactation, who was named senior champion. “This cow shows exceptional freshness given her number of lactations, as if time had no hold over her. She is a very strong cow, and her udder remains firmly attached to her body.” She belongs to SCEA en Crozes (81) and is co-owned with Ferme de l’Odyssée.
