As every year, 3tres3 was present at SPACE, the International Livestock Show in Rennes, which this year held a particularly significant edition: number 40. Over three days, from 15 to 17 September, professionals and companies gathered once again at one of the leading international events dedicated to animal production.
According to the figures provided by the organisers, the 40th edition of SPACE welcomed 100.107 visitors and brought together 1.019 exhibitors, one third of them international.
For 3three3, SPACE was once again an excellent opportunity to take the pulse of the industry, learn firsthand about the new products presented by companies and, above all, reconnect with customers, collaborators and professionals in the swine sector. Three days of conversations and exchanges allowed us to share concerns and learn about some of the trends and solutions shaping the evolution of animal production.
Innovation with applications for the swine sector
Innovation once again took center stage. Of the 78 applications submitted, the Innov’Space jury selected 32 innovations: 26 received one star and six received two stars. Subsequently, three of the new products were awarded the special three-star distinction.
Among the award-winning solutions of interest to the pig sector, developments related to precision feeding, animal monitoring and weighing, artificial intelligence, animal health and biosecurity, reflecting the growing role of technology in farm management and in improving production efficiency.
Water at the center of the debate
Another key theme of this edition was sustainable water management in livestock farming, the central theme of the Space for Tomorrow. Through testimonials from livestock farmers, meetings with experts and debates, issues related to the availability and efficient use of this resource, as well as various solutions applicable on farms, were discussed.
The SPACE 2026 program also included around 100 conferences and an extensive program of competitions and presentations.
3tres3, close to the sector
Beyond the figures and new developments, our visit to SPACE allowed us to do what is an essential part of our work: be close to the sector and its professionals.
From 3tres3, we would like to thank everyone who shared a moment with us during these three days. Conversations, meetings and reunions that make SPACE a special event in our calendar.
See you again in Rennes in 2027, from 14 to 16 September, for the 41th edition of SPACE.
