The Auvergne-based manufacturer Maître is launching a new range of manure spreaders, called Orion. The largest model in this series, the Orion 170, has a capacity of 17 m³.

These machines inherit the spreading frame already proven on spreaders in the Vulcain range. Their two vertical rollers are nevertheless closer together, in order to maintain good spreading and crumbling quality, even when the blades are worn. The mudguardsare also slightly inclined to prevent any manure from accumulating.

Maître has also extended the front section of the marine-chain moving floor, measuring 16 mm and fitted with crossbars, forward. By extending it out of the body, the manufacturer makes it easier to access the front of the system, including the bearings, and therefore to carry out maintenance. The Orion also features a new spring-loaded chain tensioning system.

Optional dynamic weighing

The Orion are eligible for dynamic weighing of origin TopCon. This system is based on two load cells installed on the axle and a third on the drawbar. This system can also be controlled using an optional Isobus terminal The Orion range is expected to expand to lower capacities in the future.
