French manufacturer CK Industries unveils its forage-pushing robot RPF-1000. This automated machine both pushes forage along the feed bunk and scraping the leftovers.
Pushing up and scraping the forage
The RPF-1000 robot is suitable for dry forages as well as wet rations based on silage or wrapped silage. A deployable rubber flap also allows it to switch to scraping, to bring the refusals back. The robot automatically adjusts its route according to the quantity of forage detected. The user can also program the formation of one or more piles along the feed bunks.
Cable guidance
The robot is guided by wire thanks to a cable embedded in the building’s concrete floor. This allows it to travel along a route of up to 450 m of perimeter. Multiple recordable circuits and work cycles (single or fast) can be programmed directly from the built-in interface.

Electric drive and automatic recharging
The RPF-1000 is powered by a electric motor brushless 24 V powered by two batteries of 100 Ah. At the end of each cycle, it automatically returns to its charging station connected to the domestic electrical grid at 230 V.
Obstacle detection and safety
The robot incorporates an obstacle detection by sonar with automatic restart after shutdown. A light signal indicates its operating status, while a safety device immediately stops the machine if force is applied to the body.
A compact design
The RPF-1000 measures 1,19 m long, 1,03 m wide and up to 0,78 m high. It is also equipped with lugged wheels to maintain its grip on the different types of flooring in the building.
