• This article tells you the prices of grain, corn, sunflower and soybeans in Poland in October 2026.
  • Wet corn costs approx. 650 PLN/t.

This year’s soybean harvest in Poland is progressing smoothly and is practically nearing completion. At the end of August, early varieties were being harvested in the south of the country; now only the later ones remain. The average yield is slightly lower than in previous years, but there are also major differences between regions, varieties and individual fields. Prices are higher, though. Buying prices reaching as much as 2050 PLN/t mean that, despite the lower yield potential, soybeans are one of the more profitable crops in 2026. High prices, low seed moisture and smooth harvesting in many farms helped offset the effects of the summer water deficit. At this time last year, soybeans were priced at approx. 1450 PLN/t.

The sunflower harvest is also progressing well. The price, in turn, is comparable to last year’s or slightly lower. At this time last year, it reached 2150 PLN; now prices generally do not exceed that figure and hover above 1900 PLN. However, farmers tell us that yields are good.

Grain corn harvests 2026

What about corn? It is still too early to say much, as the corn harvest has only just begun. But more and more fields have already been harvested. As recently as last week, yields in the south were reported to be very low, reaching only 2-8 t/ha, with a very wide moisture range of 17 to over 35 percent. Yields have now improved.

In the Opole region, yields of up to 12-15 t/ha are being harvested, and moisture is hovering around 30 percent. The first harvests have also begun in Podlaskie Voivodeship, where moisture is approximately 25 percent. In Greater Poland Voivodeship, yields vary widely, from 4 to 14 t/ha, and moisture ranges from 28 to 36 percent. In Łódź Voivodeship, meanwhile, grain buyers are reporting yields of around 12 t/ha and moisture of 25-32 percent. Interestingly, harvesting has barely got underway in Lubusz Voivodeship.

What about prices? They have gone up. Dry corn costs up to 1000 zł, while wet corn costs as much as 660 zł. At one grain-buying point, we were told that for each percentage point of moisture below the buying point’s 30 percent threshold, the farmer receives 1 percent added to the grain price, while for each percentage point above 30 percent, 3 percent is deducted from the price.

We remind you that at this time last year, the price of wet corn in Poland was in the range of 360-480 zł/t, while dry corn cost around 650 zł/t.

Wheat prices 2026

Wheat has also become more expensive, especially milling wheat. On average, at the purchasing companies we surveyed, the price per tonne increased by 20-40 zł over the week. The highest price in our survey is 970 zł.

At ports, wheat is priced at 1000-1050 zł. However, it is worth taking into account the cost of transporting it to the port, which has risen considerably recently.
