Recently, milk yield per cow at Youran Dairy’s Hohhot Jinhe Farm rose again to 50.03 kilograms after surpassing 49 kilograms, achieving another new personal best. This is another record high following the time when the milk yield per cow across the entire herd at Youran Dairy’s Wuwei Farm in Gansu exceeded 49 kilograms in 2023, reaching the top level of milk yield per cow in China and setting a new example for improving quality and efficiency in the dairy farming industry.
Jinhe Farm is located in Saihan District, Hohhot, and has a dairy herd of 1 ten thousand head. The farm continues to implement measures to increase milk yield per cow and reduce costs. While milk yield per cow has risen significantly, the farm’s feed cost per kilogram of raw milk fell by more than 10% year on year in the first half of this year.
