From improving animal welfare and farm efficiency to advances in automation and sustainability, 7 innovations dedicated to the poultry sector have been recognized by the Innov'SPACE jury. The award winners received official recognition during SPACE 2026, the international livestock exhibition held in Rennes, France, from 15 to 17 September.
After evaluating 78 submissions, the jury selected a total of 32 innovations; 26 of them received 1 stars, while 6 others were awarded 2 stars. The jury's top picks were announced at the Innov’SPACE event during the exhibition on 15 September.
Elanco France: AviPro Salmonella DUO
AviPro Salmonella DUO is a vaccine available only by veterinary prescription. It is the only live oral vaccine containing 2 strains, Salmonella Enteritidis and Salmonella Typhimurium, and provides protection for up to 100 weeks against Salmonella Enteritidis and up to 94 weeks against Salmonella Typhimurium.
IFIP: Foodbasket7
Foodbasket7 is a free web-based tool that enables people to understand the consequences of their dietary choices. Users can put together a weekly food shopping list in minutes, and the tool provides a simple visual assessment of two complementary aspects: the nutritional quality and environmental impact of the shopping list.
Vencomatic: Ovoclear
Vencomatic introduces Ovoclear, the first inspection roller conveyor to integrate automatic feather cleaning directly into the egg handling process. This innovation addresses a longstanding challenge in egg collection: feathers adhering to eggs typically have to be removed manually, requiring operators’ continuous attention.
MCJ Innov: Roll-Bouch
Roll-Bouch is a pellet-spreading trolley designed for poultry farms. This electric trolley is equipped with an innovative spreading system that uses four discharge gates located on both sides of the machine. The gates can be opened mechanically, while the flow rate can be adjusted manually with ease and precision. An electrically operated gate-opening system is also available for users who want to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).
Maison Bleue: Sanihouse
Sanihouse, designed by Innovlap and Maison Bleue, is a dedicated facility for handling animal carcasses on farms. The facility is a building made of insulated precast reinforced-concrete elements, equipped with a stainless-steel platform and a motorized automatic door. This system makes animal carcass disposal easier and safer.
The motor mechanism on the platform is synchronized with the opening of the door and designed to accommodate carcass transport containers (rendering bins). These containers can be automatically moved to the “farm zone” side for loading carcasses, or to the “public zone” side for carcass collection services to retrieve them independently.
CCPA Group: Securitor Flash
Securitor Flash from CCPA Group is a liquid nutritional solution designed to support digestive balance in poultry production. Formulated with aromatic compounds and garlic essential oil, this product acts on communication mechanisms within the gut microbiota that are involved in regulating bacterial communities and biofilm formation. This approach aims to modulate microbiota function without directly affecting bacterial growth.
Big Dutchman International: Sharky 430
Sharky 430 is the first autonomous cleaning robot developed for poultry housing systems in the rearing and laying phases. The robot has a compact, small design, making it suitable for narrow aisles. Equipped with a highly flexible cleaning arm with multiple joints, the robot can reach areas that are difficult to access. Sharky 430 navigates without physical contact by detecting system components; no guide rails are required.
