The spot milk market ended the second half of October with further price declines in all monitored states. Although the downward trend continued, the declines were less pronounced than those recorded at the beginning of the month. Greater milk availability, combined with pressure on dairy product prices, continues to limit prices.

The national average (BR) fell by R$ 0,059, to R$ 2,586, per liter. Among the states, Minas Gerais recorded the largest drop, of R$ 0,120, ending the half-month period with an average of R$ 2,589. In Goiás, the average price was R$ 2,490, after a decline of R$ 0,040.

In São Paulo, the average price reached R$ 2,843, down by R$ 0,061. In Paraná, the price fell by R$ 0,043 to R$ 2,643, while Santa Catarina recorded a drop of R$ 0,021, with an average of R$ 2,728.

No Rio Grande do Sul, the average price ended the period at R$ 2,437, after a reduction of R$ 0,020. Thus, although downward pressure remains widespread across the spot market, the lower intensity of the adjustments indicates a slowdown in the downward movement compared with the first half of the month.
