According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, on 10/19, the “Agricultural Product Wholesale Price 200 Index” stood at 112.33, down 0.55 points from last Friday. The wholesale price index for “basket” products stood at 112.04, down 0.71 points from last Friday. As of 14:00 today, the average pork price at national agricultural product wholesale markets was 15.74 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from last Friday; beef was 73.61 yuan/kg, unchanged from last Friday; mutton was 67.84 yuan/kg, unchanged from last Friday; eggs were 9.56 yuan/kg, down 0.5% from last Friday; and dressed chicken was 16.98 yuan/kg, down 1.6% from last Friday. The average price of the 28 vegetable varieties under key monitoring was 4.21 yuan/kg, down 2.3% from last Friday; the average price of the 6 fruit varieties under key monitoring was 6.76 yuan/kg, up 1.5% from last Friday. Crucian carp was 19.48 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from last Friday; common carp was 13.88 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from last Friday; silver carp was 10.13 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from last Friday; and largehead hairtail was 43.08 yuan/kg, up 3.5% from last Friday.
Today, among the 46 varieties monitored at major domestic wholesale markets for fresh agricultural products, the five with the largest price increases compared with last Friday were Kyoho grapes, watermelon, largehead hairtail, bananas, and bighead carp, with increases of 5.0%, 4.1%, 3.5%, 1.0%, and 0.5%, respectively. The five with the largest price decreases were spinach, celery, cauliflower, Chinese cabbage, and celtuce, with decreases of 5.9%, 5.8%, 5.4%, 5.2%, and 4.7%, respectively.
